aturday
Market today. We have been busy and have not gone for 3 weeks now. Lots of
people were so glad to see us. Mary probably almost ran out of soap again as a
horde came to her as they had run out, went to storebought soap and started
itching..
I built one of the upcoming projects last night. It took about an hour and then I spent another hour on trying to remember how to set the thing up from my class. Finally it worked. No worries, as usual I will walk you guys through it step by step. I didn't have anyone to show me how.. or pictures. Mary tried it when I was talking to a person about the magazine and she picked it up right away and said it was fun. I think so too. I will have to admit I broke it though. I used scrap wood as a prototype before I made one from good wood for the one for the magazine, as I had no pattern to go on and there are no patterns on the internet to use as a diagram. I took pictures in my class and guessed on measurements. I forgot to drill in one spot as a pilot hole and when I put the screw in, it broke the wood. But all you fiber junkies will like this project!!! Even those of you who do not realize that you are a fiber junkie yet.
Tomorrow I am going out to pick Huckleberries. Apparently where we are going they are the size of your thumb. Friends collected 8 gallons in about 2 hours. We shall see if we get skunked or not.
When I walked outside this morning, it smelled like Fall. I bet our trees will be golden-leaved within 2 weeks. It was -4C in the bush where the guys were working yesterday.
"Blossom" is home now. I missed her. It was easier having Mary babysit her while I was gone and then gone again. I went out and laid in the grass with her and she gently put her head on me and I scratched her under her chin where she likes it. And found icky pitch on her brisket since I could see the underside of her well. It must have hurt when I pulled it off, but she did not even move an eyelash. More like "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh". She is still excellent in picking up her feet (front and hind). She still knows her "Giddup", "whoa" and "back". She is 2 months old now and about 200 pounds.
