e went to be tourists today. I took my guests to Barkerville, which is a historic gold mining town from the 1860's. And of course it poured rain in profuse buckets coming down. I wanted to write an article for the magazine on Cornish Wheels and help raise funds for the new wheel last year, but businesses in British Columbia came through and donated time and equipment. I love the skit these guys do in full costume/character for this part of the historical park and I went to watch the new wheel in action.

These wheels are meant for bringing water out of the mine shafts, but I see so many possibilities for this.

If you are ever up in British Columbia, I highly recommend you visit this interesting historical town, which is a miracle it even still is existing.
