December 4, 2007

have alot to do this morning and I am procrastinating. There was 7-9" of snow dumped here yesterday and I am not looking forward to shoveling out the driveway today. The good news it seems to be a powder, so it may not be that difficult to do. I have to haul feed to the barns courtesy of a dog, then wood back down. Then go out and look for my horse since I have not actually seen her in the flesh since I brought her back from her summer pasture.

Afternoon Update: The Angel with the snowplow a week back ago, is back to being a mystery. My neighbor spotted the kind fellow and the truck did not match any description of anyone I  recognize immediately. Whomever you are. Thank you again!!

I am shoveling the driveway this afternoon as well. I only got 1/3 of it done this morning before I had to run to work. I cannot expect Angels to show up all the time after all. Especially when they are the mysterious kind **S**

However it is freezing rain coming down currently and not snow. The snow was pretty easy to shovel earlier this morning so I expect it will not be that bad now as soon as I eat and bundle up. I have a couple hours before dark.

Tomorrow I think I am butchering turkeys. A friend's husband is coming up to help. I have a mental issue with pithing the turkeys. I just cannot do it. For those of you who do not know what pithing is, it consists of sticking a knife or icepick up through the top of the turkeys mouth and into their brain which kills them and makes it so the feathers are easy to remove. If push came to shove, I would do it, but it is like hunting deer. I can do everything but pull the trigger. l
