December 10, 2007 

finally had a good night's sleep. I slept somewhere between 10-12 hours straight, instead of the 5-6 per night, which is what I have been getting for the last month. I am still sleeping on the couch, but I have the parts for my bed now so I may get to sleep in my bed tonight. 

The snow report is.... it is still snowing. Only 3" or so yesterday and it has warmed up. They were calling for -17C last night but when I woke this morning it was only -8C/17C. It was almost like summer when I went out to get firewood in my PJ's this morning. But it is supposed to get cold again. I am squabbling with the woodstove as it went out last night and it is not happy with the coloured slick newspaper inserts I am trying to convince it to start with. As soon as I am done with my morning computer stuff I will get more serious with it.  

I made Hot & Sour Soup for dinner last night. It really hit the spot and it was warming. 

Not alot on the homesteading front. Just the normal chores, trying to write a bit here and there when I can for the magazine and keeping an eye out for seed catalogs to come in. I may have to order some more as I did not get too many last year and I may be off their lists.
