December 11, 2007

am excited tonight as I finally have a bed to sleep in. After weeks of sleeping on the couch, the parts for my bed came in. I had 2 more boards cut for the slats today, and I cinched down the apparently difficult to get in the right size, cross dowel.

These are the cross dowels.
And there was a few missing on the bed....

...Which tweeked out the side rails...

...Which caused the center rail connector to actually twist and rip screws out.

...Which caused the slats to fall through..
This slat is barely hanging onto the rail.

...Which prevented tenzicut from sleeping anywhere comfy for awhile.

However I will need a few good nights sleep, as this week I am going to have to replace all my woodstove piping and ring as it started leaking tonight through the ring and has a large laceration on it which is letting water drops hit the top of the woodstove to sizzle and evaporate every 30 seconds. That large laceration was not there 2 days ago.

Today I was rubbing elbows, well at least shaking hands with politicians. The one I met with is lobbying for ranchers and small farmers, so I was highly interested in meeting him. He even remembered me emailing him. I think I shall send him a couple dozen eggs in the Spring for the work he is doing lobbying for farmgate sales.

Cinnamon Bear Episode 15: Foiled by a Crocodile
Queen Melissa writes down repair instructions in magic ink, sealing them in an envelope. She directs Paddy, Jimmy and Judy, and Crazy Quilt to read the instructions in total darkness. The quartet heads for the Wishing Woods, which is known to be quite dark. There they meet a crocodile that swallows the envelope.
