was the first one to wake up this morning, but then granted I was very tired and went to bed at 9pm for once. I got the woodstove fired up again and on my first trip to the wood sling this morning, as I am walking on snow, I think.. "Oh.. it snowed again last night".. on my second trip out to get some more wood it was now light enough I said "OH it is still blizarding!". And I am rethinking my plans for running dogs this morning. I was going to take a passenger for weight, but with the new snow I am not sure we won't bog down. I left the dogs on the truck last night to get them used to their boxes, but I think they won't mind being in nice straw beds. They usually have straw in their usual beds, but they tend to kick it out and sleep on the snow anyway. Silly things.

Each morning I check out the website stats to see where people are coming from to visit. Yesterday we had the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia, Germany, Great Britain, Switzerland, European Union, South Africa, Ireland, Finland, Mauritius, Singapore and Guam. I have to admit, I needed to look up where Mauritius was located. For the rest of you whom are curious too, Mauritius is an island nation off the coast of Africa in the southwest Indian Ocean. I guess the internet is everywhere!

My schedual today is to do a bit of magazine stuff, maybe run dogs, clean the house as "E" is coming tomorrow or Tuesday from Washington, 2 reporters for dinner on Tuesday or Wednesday, general farm chores and I think that is it. My boyfriend is heading down the road to a friends house with the tractor as her driveway is only half a car width, so he is going to help her out as it would take months to shovel by hand. In other words, pretty much impossible.

This picture is from yesterday. We went up to check the trails to see if we could run dogs last that night. The dark cloudy looking things are snow clouds coming over the mountains. You are looking about 80 miles to the mountains and nope, there is not a single town between here and there.

Oh... and I found another chore that has to be done today.. Can you guess what I need to repair? "Dutch" is not on the 'good dog list' today. I guess I will have to put wire on the inside to prevent this from happening again.
