y world is Purple!!!! But I will get back to that in a second... Let's get to the good stuff first.

Yesterday while I was driving to Mary's to go milk "Mudbog", a man and lady with their dog ran across the road. I stopped to tease them that I was not really going to run them over. The lady asked if I lived nearby and I started to get a suspicion that I should know this lady and I sorta did. "Austrian Mary" (I do not know if she is really called this or the other Mary called her this to distinguish her from the other Mary's we know) and her husband apparently read the blog every day here (Hi guys!) and immediately asked how "Mudbog" was. I told them I was just on my way to go milk her. I met their lettuce before I met them, but that is what happens in my world sometimes *S*

Milking "Mudbog" was very non-eventful. She is everything "Daisy" was not. We went into the several acre pasture, tossed some grain down in a pan in front of her.. no halter.. and started to milk her in the middle of the pasture. Next time I will take a stool. I stood in case I had to move out of the way fast, but I think I could sit on this cow and she would not care. The calf scammed most of the milk from her, but we will get more another day.

Today we did Farmer's Market and it was nice. Amy took her spinning wheel again and after she had to quit, I started working on it. I need to wash up a couple fleeces so I can take them to the next one we go to. I got a few subscriptions and a lady wanted me to make her a lucet which is featured in the Spring issue. Amy has this AWESOME skin toner stuff.. you will have to email her or check out her blog to read more about it, but it is this awesome stuff she makes and sells for too little. Get some from her Highland Clover Farm, before she ups the price. At $4 you can't go wrong and I do not even know if it is on her website, but email her anyway and tell her I sent you. I put it on about 6-7 hours ago in this sweaty hot day and my face still feels really refreshed.

I get home and my guy is building goodies for our piggies (and which will be in the next issue this Autumn) and I helped him finish it up. Then of course being him.. when the stuff with water was done, he had to spray Amy and I with the hose. Refreshing, but not in a skirt or jeans. Shorts would have been nicer. I then observed I need to pick alot of Strawberries tonight when it is cooler.

Then I go into one door of the house and my guy in the other door. All of the sudden he yells "WHAT IN THE......"???? Thinking one of the cats must have made a mess of something, of a historical disaster, I peer into the kitchen and all I see is PURPLE. Lots of purple. I have wine. I made 6 types of wine last summer and I have not made any yet this year. Remember is it really hot out? Well the Blueberry wine, must have had a high sugar content and turned into Champagne. Ker-POW!!! My guy and me, gingerly take the rest of the Blueberry wine out to the root cellar knowing they could blow up as we carried them, so we carefully carried them. And then I clean.. and clean.. and clean.. and use all the old towels I have as I know they will become grey-purple soon. I have to bleach my counters.. and I never use anything which is not a 'green' cleanser, but the counters, floors, walls from floor to ceiling and from our sink the the corner of the kitchen must be 12 feet across. It is all purple...

These pictures do not do the mess justice:
