will be out of the office until August 6th or 7th. I will not be able to check my messages until then. So please be patient and I will respond to any questions or inquiries you all have when I get back. I am leaving the whole family behind for this trip, but they do NOT touch my computer.

I have been busy getting ready for the event I am going to. An extra kid is going and she did not have anything to take, so we have been sewing for days. The Curse of me getting around sewing machines happened again. I did in 3 machines this time.. all in one day. I didn't even touch them, just be in the same room as them and as soon as I left, they will work again. I really like hand sewing better anyway. Mostly why I like sewing leather things. It is forgiving and I can work the patterns out in my head better.

I also enjoy hand embroidery. This is one thing I made a couple years ago, but just got around to taking a picture of last night. Celtic knotwork is fun to do.

On the garden front, it has been a cold cold summer. Yesterday morning I was dreaming about filling up my hot water bottle many times, and I did not even have my hot water bottle with me. I doubt I will even get a corn crop this year. It is 45 day corn and it is not even to my knee yet, it was planted June 1st. It was freezing out where my guy was working the last few mornings. People are running about in sweaters in the mornings. Many things are doing good in the garden however. Turnips are wonderful and we had some for dinner the other night. The beans are looking good. The greenhouse peppers and tomatoes are looking great. Ate a few items off them already too.
