ome of the other things I did not mention which were going on in the last week, is my guy went fishing on the ocean up north and was over 24 hrs late getting back to land. With all the flooding up in that area while he was out at sea with his brother and father, and no contact from them, we were getting pretty worried. But we got a call from them last night and they will be home today. WHEW! I think he just wanted out of the cow rodeo we had this week.

Due to all the chaos this week, I did not feel like doing my Friday Ads, so if you are reading the blog here (and we get 3,000 to 10,000 hits a day here at DTTR) and would like a sample of our first "Down to the Roots" Summer 2005 issue, email me and I will send it to you. Just email me for a copy. Make sure to put SAMPLE in the subject line.

I am a bit behind on my emails, but I think I almost caught up last night. After I got 200-300 personal emails in a matter of 2 days due to May 30th little event which I felt I needed to reply to, I am catching up on requests and orders. As well as the personal emails, spammers hit me and I am getting a kazillion of them to wade through as well. Funny how that just started the same day. Oh well.. it is taken care of now. And I ought to be all caught up on everything tonight.

"Blossom" has her own little brigade of a milk goat herd now. "Jackie", "Sparky" and "Snoopy" are all first year freshened does I am borrowing from a homestead who needed to summer their animals out. That worked perfect for us and "Blossom". As the calf is getting too heavy to carry now.. and after she poo'd all down my leg as I went to lift her up, she started her first halter lesson today. (No Linda, you are not getting a picture of the calf poo-hehehehe.. [Seriously though everyone else.. check out Linda's Blog]).
