e got alot accomplished here today. We had work crews here at our house. Various things got done in stages as we had 'filler jobs' between others. Such as when the spark plug for the chain saw died I used the weedeater, while my guy went to get a new one.

Our lawnmower died when one of the boys hit a rock last summer and we have not had time to tear it apart yet, so I have been weedeatering where we cannot put the goats and it is looking not half bad. I also got the greenhouse weedeatered. Yes.. the greenhouse. When we built it, it was right on the lawn and the grass has never died out yet. After we could see the plants, I noted they looked pretty nice. The tomatoes and peppers are just now blossoming. There are about 60 some of each.

We started on the rail fence for our barnyard. Since our tractor is down, Mary and I were pulling poles from the middle back of our property and on the way back with the first set I quipped I wish we had a draft horse or ox or something.. and then "DUH".. I do have draft animals.. we hitched up two teams of 2 dogs on each team to the poles to pull out of the back. It worked pretty well.. and then we heard we had a tractor on the way. Oh well.. the dogs enjoyed doing something for a bit.

Then on standby again while my guy looked at our dead truck (seems to be a virus going around which is killing our vehicles???) Mary, Matthew and I cleaned out the root cellar which is what I have been trying to do for a couple months. The sand which I was saving for the stepping stones, was determined to do onto the floor of the root cellar instead. All the tools from building it and where some had been stored were taken out and I am now planning shelving.

All the posts for the barnyard have been put in 10 feet apart except for the man gate and we will start to put the poles up tomorrow.
