e got 6" and 8" spikes yesterday for our pole fencing. So between house cleaning for a party tomorrow, and other regularly scheduled daily chores, we will be working on the barnyard fencing today. We have about 50 poles up here currently, but more need to be cut and brought up to the barnyard. The weather seems to be holding today so we will not become drowned rats.

Last night "Teenager" went to his sports awards at the high school and of course we went. He got a M.V.P. award for all around offence/defense football player. Both he and one of the boys who comes and helps us with firewood each year (and both graduate High School this month) to help build muscles, have been accepted to a semi-pro football league. (Thank you to A as well for all your hard work here with the firewood.) "Teenager" will be leaving us soon to go play with this league. It is his stepping off point to start playing professional football. Good Luck D, A and B! May your future be bright and you achieve your dreams.

Tomorrow is my guy's 40th birthday. So today we are butchering out our last adult BB Bronze Toms today and going to cook him for our guests for the meal. Weirdly enough with all the turkeys we have raised, I cannot remember when I last cooked one. I usually supply them to the household we are having the event/holiday at and I guess I always get out of cooking them. If we have enough time tonight when it gets dark, Mary and I may candle the turkey and chicken eggs which are in the incubator.
