Congratulations on "Teenager's" Graduation Day! Last night we were so proud as he walked across the podium to get what they call a Dogwood here. Soon he will be leaving us for the big city to play semi-pro football as he was accepted to a team a month. May all your dreams come true "DP".

Also congrats to Brandon and Ryan.. may you go far.

On the homesteading front, we candled eggs again tonight . Out of 55 heritage turkey eggs, we seem to have 50 viable ones. We are still expecting them to hatch around the 4th. We are pretty excited about that. Mary has never hatched turkey poults before and I haven't for many years. Everyone keep your fingers crossed for us.

However we fared badly on the Chantecler eggs. Out of 24 we had 5 hatch. We re-candled them tonight and 12 were not viable from the get-go and 7 died in various stages of embryo growth. But at least we have 4-5 to work with. 4 whites (though I am not sure one will make it) and 1 'black'.
