t
was a mite chilly inside the cabin this morning at 14.3C. Granted it was
too hot in here
last
night so the boys let the fire go out. However it did snow for 3 hours yesterday
afternoon, even though
it really did not stick to anything.
Picture above: It snowed like this for three hours, while down at the house.....
My herbs and peppers are up already. I have gone through one pan of water in the
incubator already and I need to turn them here in a minute. (But I wanted to
warm my feet up before I went out onto the concrete mudroom floor. I am wearing
a red wool Mexican blanket this morning like a serape.
I have seen a beautiful one in one of my Spin Off magazines I would like to
duplicate one day. I can just imagine being wrapped up in one of those and
sitting in the hammock swing with a mug of tea in the mornings this fall. In the
spring and summer, I like t
o
wake up early and hang out there to welcome
in the day.
We had llama roast for dinner the night before last. My bf and I like llama meat, but the boys are frightened of it and said they did not like it (though they have never had it before), but after we told them it was buffalo they ate it quite heartily. Tonight I am making a shepherds pie out of the rest of it as we had actually cooked 2 of them that night. A friend from down the road had a friend who butchered 3 gelding llamas who were apparently not very nice.
Picture above: While it snowed outside, down at the house, the Basil is coming up nicely, thinking it is Spring
Picture below: I didn't check their tag, but these are more herbs of some kind coming up in the warmth of the indoor greenhouse.
