think
I know this guy. If I don't, they share the same name. But he is riding his
horse across
America from Oregon to make news and to learn about people (and probably
himself). I am not sure whom the author is, but there is a blog
on him and his wife. If you are in or near Missouri,
Tennessee or North
Carolina, you may want to keep an eye out for him. He has already gone though
the States of Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado and Kansas. He and his horse
started out June 2 from Oregon.
I never wanted to do anything that extreme, but I did want to ride or hike the Oregon Trail from the east to the west side in Oregon. I may do that yet one day. My family is from some of the original pioneers who went into Oregon 5 generations ago and I have a hankering to see the country they went through and the challenges they faced, such as the dreaded Laurel Hill. Uncle Rex said when he was alive and mom was interviewing him, "I came on a wagon alright, but I do not recollect it was covered".
