October 22, 2007 - Monday

ll refreshed from my week stay, it was time to travel back north to home. I was sad leaving the island as well, as the people and the island get into your soul so quickly. This place and a certain hot springs in Oregon are probably my favorite places in the world. The Yucatan Peninsula is right up there however. While I waited in the ferry lineup, I went to the cove coffee shoppe and had tea with Dwayne and Tess. Tess was leaving on the same ferry I was. I couldn't stand it and ordered a bagel, cream cheese and lox to go.

On the ferry, Tess and I sat upstairs and talked. I learned a bit more about her and we hugged when the ferry landed on the mainland and we departed. Both of us heading north, but in very different locations and modes of travel to arrive at our destinations.

There are Bighorn Sheep which tend to be in the middle of the road every time I  go through Spence's Bridge... except when I am traveling with someone. I took a picture while I stopped to watch them and eat my bagel for lunch. I used to work with Bighorn sheep when I worked for a zoo, so I still have an interest in them from working there.

I got home just as it fell dark...
