layed automotive mechanic again today.  This morning was tearing apart the tailgate from the inside panel to see what happened to it. I was hoping for a slipped wire or something, but no such luck. No idea what any of these things are called, but the plastic dohickie which holds the metal dohickie on, in the middle broke. I am pretty sure I can 'weld' or rhino glue it back together or something, It does not seem to have to deal with alot of 'stress', so maybe it will work. In the meantime, I can shut the tailgate, but not open it again without opening the tailgate again.

The hogs are super happy, they got the gleanings from a Transparent apple tree and had 3 huge bags of apples given to them. Must have been 40-50 pounds of apples. One bag went to the chickens.

I broke out the wool sweaters and wore them all day yesterday. It will probably be the same tale today. Not only is it colder, the humidity is up higher than we are used to, so it feels way more chilly. I felt cold with the rains, so I went to bed with a hot water bottle and 2 cats. I love my hot water bottles as they stay warm for at least 14 hours.

There was a very good band in the park last night for a free concert. Tiller's Folly. I highly recommend their music. I was not able to stay for the whole thing as I had to come home and do chores (plus I am very tired), but I wish I could have.

In the email this morning:

"Thank you for the response – I really appreciate it.   Yes, I was emailing to your old email address – I didn’t realize it had changed.  I will send a new cheque and my new address to you this week.

I have to tell you how much I enjoy your magazine and now that we are finally living in the ‘country’ I often dig out the old issues for advice and inspiration.  I’m also one of your blog readers… since we’re  practically ‘neighbours’ in the larger scheme of things."
