ren is very good at what he does. Fairly often he gets sent places to troubleshoot a job which no one else can fix. So we went with basically no notice to the very prestigious ski area of Whistler, British Columbia. I get to go with him, as frankly, I am cheap help. I mostly go-for, but I learn alot.

On the way down we spied a herd of about 60 Bighorns. Whether they were Desert Bighorns or Rocky Mountain Bighorns I was not sure. I am always interested in seeing them in the wild, as I used to care for many of them when I worked for the zoo. I did not see any large rams, but there were some good sized yearlings in the bunch. Bren just bought me a really nice camera earlier in the day for Christmas and I was not quite accustomed to it yet, otherwise I would have taken a few better pictures. I missed a lovely shot on the way down of two coyotes attacking and eating something on a frozen marsh.

The views driving down were lovely. Bren went about 50-60 kph all the way down due to road conditions. But how can you not enjoy hours of the view of these mountains we traveled through?

We are staying at a lovely Austrian B&B (Hof) with a wonderful view and other than the crazy German-ish door locks/handles, I love the place.

Bren likes interesting quality foods, so we always try something a little different each night when we are on trips like this. Dinner tonight was at Teppan Japanese Steak House and we were seated with a lovely couple on their honeymoon from Oxford, England, who live right on the Thames River. We probably talked their ear off for quite a bit, but they were wonderfully interesting. They are going to email Bren about a wooden boat restoration. I told them anytime they were up in our neck of the woods, I would let them run the sleddogs, I liked them that much instantly. If Rupert or Sarah read this, the offer still stands.

We dropped the supplies off at the home we needed to work at, to warm the wood back up and make sure his special glues and such did not freeze, otherwise they would be rendered useless.
