his morning I learned something new. Well half new. I knew we had noxious weeds in my area.. as is the case no matter where you live. Tansy Ragwort was said under hushed voices when I was growing up. Orange Hawkweed is the bane in our area.

What I found out, is that there are over 80 noxious weeds in my area. Here is a list with identification & info for you. Although some of them are listed as noxious weeds due to their ability to take over, many of them are useful, such as Chicory, Cleavers and Lamb's Quarters.

So learn what these weeds are and look up your local noxious & banned weeds in your area. Such as many of us that grow our own dye plants, Woad is illegal in many States and Provinces. Baby's Breath is also a horrible noxious weed in my area.

Although this is a British Columbia list, many of these weeds I have seen all over the United States as well, this is a good reference list for identification.
