ow! I woke up to -20C/-4F and a snowstorm at 8 am. I woke up with dog whiskers in my face. I overslept and that was the first time he has had to wake me up. In my fuzziness of waking up, for some strange reason my first thought was I had muskrat peering at me. I slept on the couch last night as I got home late and it was warmer in there. I also talked to a friend who had a really bad day, for half the night on the phone. I am burning my last 3 sticks of wood down at the house currently. 'Cyrus' and I need to pull a couple sleds-worth down here in a bit. It is obvious that I am going to have to plow out the driveway a couple times today. Supposed to get 4-5" of the snow today. Supposed to snow all week.

The magazine is so close to being done. I am thinking it will be out in the mail on Tuesday. On my way to my other work (I work Saturdays and Sundays too - 7 days a week) I am grabbing the last article to put in with pictures. I promise this article is worth the wait and I am so happy to have had them write it for DTTR.

The snows are getting deep. I checked a fenceline last Sunday and I was slogging through hip deep snow in most places. I was driving along my road yesterday morning and found 3 deer in the middle of the road licking it. They jumped off the road and I felt sorry for one yearling as she landed belly deep in the snow and struggled for a bit in the hole she created to get to a better traveling area. It was funny and sad. I knew what she felt like from doing that myself last weekend.
