t warmed up to -27C/ F last night. Today's To-Do List is: I need to pull firewood down to the house as I have gone through so much with this cold snap. I also need to get my truck started. It failed for the 1st time to start during cold weather. It was even plugged in. I think it was the high winds. I had to have my boss drive me to work and home yesterday. and since I have a 'Snow Day'... I am going to try to get the magazine done and started printing today. I need to get my truck started!! Pick up all the gear which was dumped in the middle of the livingroom floor.

I do feel like I have a bad head cold today.... It is only 6 am and I am already planning on a nap this afternoon.

Afternoon Update:

Walkabout Linda called me on the phone to make sure I was OK. I am. And I feel more human this afternoon. I got my truck started and let it run for awhile and will start it up again this afternoon. "Cyrus" and I got the dogsled off the truck, hitched him up and we brought down a load of firewood. "Blossom" and "Crystal" look like fat little butterballs. I should have kicked them back into their pen, but they looked happy and I did not have my facemask as it is in my coat along with my camera in someone's vehicle where I accidentally left it. So they can hang out there until tonight. 

Yesterday after work, my boss had to pick me up and take me home due to my truck being frozen and they got Chinese food to go. I also put an order in since I failed to take anything out of the freezer for dinner. It is convenient that Chinese take-out comes in the foil containers as I tossed it on the woodstove trivet before I went outside to do chores and whatnot. It was perfect temperature when I came back in. 

Another thing I need to do here in a bit is put the new oil heater together and put it in the pumphouse. The pumphouse has had a brooder light on it all this time and I want something which will not accidentally burn out and also use less electric. I still can't get that bulb out of the socket. Maybe by Spring I can?
