 ot home from work at 7pm and then proceeded to do chores. I decided that the horse and the heifer had eaten enough down in the front pasture and kicked them into the back 40 tonight. 'Blossom' has bonded with the horse long enough I think she will not been seeking out 'Crystal' the goat who raised her.

More chicks hatching out. I took all the nests and the broody hens and put everything into the brooder house. Let them hatch out in there. The issue was non-broody hens wedging themselves into nests and laying more eggs. Twenty-five eggs is a bit much for one hen to sit on.

I watered the garden really good while I was about doing other chores and then about an hour and a half later, it started monsooning. I think the Almanac lied about July and August being hot!

A friend is coming on Tuesday to help me finish up the magazines. I will have to make her an excellent lunch for volunteering. She probably wants me to have free time so we can start doing things together again, like our Wednesday 'show & tells' of things and projects which we have been working on. I think I have only been able to do that twice with her since April.

On my travels this week, I met some people on the roadway. It is not like I just accosted them out of the blue, I knew they would be somewhere between point A and point B that day and I traveled up and down the road a couple times before I caught up with them. They are doing a very generous thing with their time and it is amazing how an idea grew over time. Check out their website!
