may be tired, but I have succeeded in my obsessive goal for the last 10 months and as of
last Thursday, I have all 'my' loans paid off except for the house. I gave myself a
year to accomplish this.
Even the 'DTTR' printing press has been paid off. Maybe soon I will be able to
'slack' off a bit more. I have always tried to pay off my loans early.
The Canadian average total personal debt was $155,000 at a monthly carrying cost of $2,226 in 2007 . I plan on $ Zero within the next two years. In the United States, one of every 73 persons filed for bankruptcy in 2003. It has since increased from that number. The other night I again watched a DVD from the Granny Warriors that I received from them about a year ago and it tells of the horrors and history of credit cards. It was a production by Frontline called "Secret History of the Credit Card". You should look it up. The average American family today carries 10 credit cards. (I have only ever had one).
I have always hated credit cards, but with no loans now (except the farm), I want to keep my credit rating increasing, 'just in case', so I am paying for my monthly groceries, gas and such on my VISA which I will pay off each month from my checking account. Credit card companies hate people like me as they do not get anything for the use of the card. Use the card, don't let it use you. If I were not trying to build my credit, I would pay cash for everything like I used to do when I lived in Oregon.
It has been so warm the last week or so, I have not even bothered to shut my greenhouse door or windows up at night. Last night there was a bit of a cloud darkening, looking like it may thunder, but other than a strong wind, it was pretty uneventful. There is a wildfire which is out of control 40-some miles from me. It needs to cool down a bit and some rain would be good.
I did get more sleep last night and this morning consists of house cleaning, before I go to work. I borrowed a vacuum and the space rug in the livingroom is no longer fuzzy from "Cyrus" hair. That rather annoyed me. Laundry is on the go, since I cannot remember the last time I really saw my washer. I have not been able to do anything much in the house for two weeks now I think. When I have had time, it has been outside stuff.
