6am

till sick, but feeling a little better. Work was brutal yesterday. I knew the newspaper went together too easy on Sunday and they 'ripped' it apart on me 8 times Monday. A few ads which were late bookings and one which was made 6x4 instead of a 4x6, 2 full page ads did not sign off on their proofs, all of which doesn't sound like trouble, but yet it rearranges everything. It is like a large intricate puzzle. It quite felt endless. As soon as it was 'finished' again, then another ad came in or was deleted.

Bren made dinner last night. One of his favorites and the very first meal he ever cooked for me when we first started dating. Sukiyaki. Four of us for dinner and it was delightful even though my taste buds are not really up for food yet. The beer actually goes into the 'hot pot' which is a cast iron low edged pot with handles over a burner on the table. It is a very good meal combined with the special sukiyaki sauce with the various vegetables, noodles, mushrooms and thinly sliced beef. Alot of it still coming from the farm.

I am so not impressed with pellet stoves. The repair guy is coming today as there seems to be something seriously wrong with it, but at least it is indeed under warranty. Bren thought it was only for 1 year, but it is actually good for 3 years. He is rethinking now that woodstoves are indeed better.

Freezing fog this morning and the roads were a wee bit slippery when I dropped Bren off and did the vehicle exchanges. There was also a buck and a doe deer at the bottom of the road. Good thing they have white bums or I may not have seen then even at the crawl I was going in the vehicle. Today's plan is to get the office in order while I wait for the repair guy to show up and work on the magazine, as I figure that the repairman will not be until 3pm or later if he follows the traditional 'repair guy rules'. I actually have 3 days off a week now and it is exciting to be able to soon get everything done that I want to accomplish.
