hanksgiving Day x 2 for me this year. The guys wanted to take advantage of having a Yankee in the household. Do I know what I am making yet? No! I just know I want to have something unusual and non-traditional. One year I had a elk roast for Thanksgiving. Why not? I will have to report back to you on what actually is presented at the table tonight.

What am I thankful for? Where shall I start? I am thankful for the basics.. a roof over my head, plenty to eat. clothes on my back and good friends.

Today I am able to work on another project for the magazine. However, one of the big ones I have to put on standby until the bathroom and utility room stuff is back out of the kitchen.... A word in hindsight? DO NOT MOVE at the SAME TIME you are remodeling the house you are moving into. There is so little room that you can hardly turn around in the livingroom or kitchen as that was the only spot to put things from the area which are being remodeled.

But I am just itching to get the second part of project done. I love science projects!! And I think you will like this one too.. with the whole family.....

Today or tomorrow we are supposed to get the pellet stove back. It has been a little chilly for the last eight days without it. It seems longer that it has been gone however. But it has shown me how warm it does keep this place (even if you cannot cook on it).

The weather is warm. Too warm and we are lacking snow here. We are averaging 7 degrees warmer than normal. It almost feels like a November day in Oregon without the rain. I am trying to get into my walking routine for an hour in the mornings with 'Cyrus' and today I went in just a sweatshirt instead of a coat. I used to walk 5 miles every day with my dogs (my dogs before the sled dogs) and in the last 3+ years I have not been able to. With not having any farm chores, I really need to stretch my muscles as I was getting edgy from not being able to get outside much.
