could not sleep last night as I kept smelling something electrical burning. I am pretty sure it was not my imagination as two other people smelled it as well. So I put the time to good use and got the DTTR live chat room working again. It was working for some people and not for others (including myself) and since chat season is almost here again I thought I would revamp it since it was a quiet thing to do at 1 am.

You do not have to wait for me to announce that the chatroom is open, it is there for you homesteaders (and dreamers) to use whenever you want. Please check it out here. When it is non-gardening season we have had as many as 17 people in there at once. Come join in on the fun. When you get there, choose a name and type /nick yournewname (fill in the name you want in the yournewname space). If you get stuck, that is OK too.. we can help you. Lots of newbies show up in the chat.

Sometimes it is just nice to be chatting with others who understand the organic lifestyle, canning foods, milking goats, family and whatever else. Or even if you don't do it yet, to just talk about it. From time to time there will be on-line classes.

I am here most evenings in the winter months (when I am not working late at night for my day job) and sporadically during gardening, fencing and harvest seasons.
