thought
I would stop what I was doing for a moment and check in. Printing is still under
way, I have a friend (City Boy) who volunteered to help me get them put together
and mailed out. I have started on the next issue and having a blast with it as
well. I really missed being able to do this and now when I start writing I just
don't want to stop. I have to go buy a couple things to build the next project
however.
I
took another bale of hay to where my animals are being stored and 'City Boy' and
another friend went with me. Bren has been working in Vancouver all week, so I
collected them for company on the long drive yesterday and their brawn for
pushing the huge round bale out of the back of the truck I was driving. 'City
Boy' was very happy to see 'Larry' his llama. In the summer, 'City Boy' will be
receiving some of 'Larry's" babies. 'City Boy' said he even would learn how
to spin on my wheel. I will have to get another pair of good shears. I
left mine with my former boss in Oregon 7 years ago.
Photo Above: City Boy with his llama 'Larry'. The girls in his harem were all over us. I think they had never seen a camera before
City Boy came over to see how I was faring without Bren here and he caught me when I was planting a few of the seeds I am starting early. He had never planted a seed before. I think there is another gardener among us now.
Another thing in the news, is that a friend of Bren's, had a friend who 'is a gardener' and whom wanted to meet up with me for talking gardening. After talking to him... Wellllll.. he is not just a mere garden variety gardener (not that we are a bad sort either), he is head of agriculture in the area including for the schools... and he, his wife and the minister of Agriculture for British Columbia are meeting for dinner tomorrow. I have made so many wonderful connections over the last 2 weeks it is incredible. We are apparently planning a seed planting party. That ought to be fun!
I also have really awesome other agricultural things in the works and I will tell you about them as they unfold over the next two months. One should be a rather large shindig I am putting together.
