"I would rather sit on a pumpkin, and
have it all to myself, than be crowded on a velvet cushion." Henry David
Thoreau
12:15am
have been on the go all day. "City Boy" ended up not being laid off
anymore and so I trudged though collimating by myself. I have a bit to finish up
tomorrow (today) and that issue is done and ready to send off. Tonight after I
got home, I started another project for the next issue and it sure made the
house smell good. I have to cook it for days, but I am thinking that will
not be a hardship... at all!
I went to bed about 11 pm, an hour later I was still going mentally about writing and could not fall asleep, so I am back up and writing. I did stop for a bit at K2's house today (yesterday) and had tea with her and her eldest daughter. She had a bit of exciting news for me, but it is not a for sure thing yet, so I will have to bite my tongue. Wow.. so many secrets around me lately. I am not usually this mysterious at all.
With all the sunshine, the snow is melting a bit during the day and turning into glare ice in the evenings. Bren got his truck stuck on glare ice, so we have to retrieve it tomorrow somehow, as they guys spent hours trying to un-stick it with another 4x4. Tomorrow he is hauling gravel to where it is at.
Most of my seedlings in batch #1 of planting are up. The leeks and onions, some peppers, and I anticipate the celery up sometime in the next 30 days. It is such a slow germinator. I won't start anything else until March for batch #2.
5:57am
Back up for the day. Turned on my growing lights in my mini-greenhouse. I have my project on the go already on the stove in the cast iron kettle, had to add water as it seems to have dissipated overnight.. It is too early to go to the library to collimate. It doesn't open up for another three hours, so I think I will write a bit on the next issue and see what else the email brought thus far today. The public project we are working towards (the one where we will be having those 600 seedlings at) in a few weeks time has things which need to be done daily on it. Sometimes it is only 5 seconds here and there, but I know the time will fly and it will be time for the event before we know it.
