Well, the skunk is back. I will have to do something about him/her. I hate to give the poor thing the death penalty, but our eyes were all watering from the fumes. I have a live trap, but I have to get ALL of the storage unit unpacked before I can get to it as it is in the far back corner *sigh*.  I will probably have to call someone.

Today went to meet the carpet guy. With me pulling all the carpet, padding and lino out for him, I will save enough money that I can do the whole house at the same time. Which is good since the other option involved moving furniture a few more times. Since the "original" bathroom with the clawfoot tub has the original 'tongue-and-groove' (maybe) under the lino in there (which causes it to be very wavy), he suggested that I lay 1/4 inch plywood over it so the new lino will be smooth. I also have to move out the toilet and the (I am sure extremely heavy) clawfoot tub. I talked to the flooring guy that I wanted to lay tile in front of the woodstove and if it would mess up his measurements and he told me that he had alot of slate and tile leftover from many jobs and if I go there on Monday that he would be more than happy to just give me some so it would go to good use since he couldn't use it for a full job. Sweet!!

Tonight for New Year's Eve, we are just spending a quiet night here at mom's with cheese, sausage and crackers watching movies. Usually I ring my cowbell, but it too is packed away. Maybe I can clank some potlids together *L*.
