What is more traditional for the month of October, (other than pumpkin), than apples? Today a friend gave me a bag full of crabapples for my travels here and there, so I have a nice healthy (portable) snack food in my vehicle. Some crabapples are small and not very tasty, some are good for cider, most are great at pollinating other apple trees. These ones taste delicious and have me grabbing immediately for another. These apples look large in the photo, but my hand is only 3" wide at the fingers.

The day looks and feels like Autumn and it feels nice. I always like this time of the year.
