Some of the raised beds got planted yesterday. I got the flu or something Tuesday night and slept until 1 pm on Wednesday after being up all night. I decided not to lift anything, so I sat in the garden and took an hour or so to get some stuff in before I went to go take a nap again. It always happens when I have been on the go-go-go for awhile and then when it slows down a little. I get sick.
I dragged a soaker hose out to put into the beds to figure out what I need to do with my old watering system to make it work in the new garden. Since they are 50 foot hoses, I am going to have to get creative to make them work in this garden. I have a couple ideas, I shall see how well they work out.
I have almost all of my new composter full now. I found an outdoor thermometer and stuck it in there. The compost has lost some of its heat since I turned it, but I am pretty sure it will resume back to working quickly.
Today is looking to be nice, so today is the day the office, shed and etc gets DONE! I am sick of looking at the disaster zone/s. I want to start printing as orders are coming in.
Later I will take my cardboard, newspapers left over from unpacking (and apple remains) to the community gardens to add to the lasagna gardening plots and check and see how the beds are... if they are too dry and if anything has emerged from the soil yet.. like peas.
The broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower and brussels sprouts that I started in the indoor greenhouse are up. I need to plant leeks and asparagus as well to get them going.
