is too early to be up, but someone was crashing about in the bathroom this
morning and woke me up. I tried to stay in bed, but nope.. I was wide awake. I
went out onto the front porch to check my coffee can mouse traps and I caught 2
more last night. In 2 days we have caught 4 mice.Last night "Kid" wanted to light a fire in the woodstove, so I told him that we needed to clean the pipe first and he volunteered to do it.. we will see. It will probably be one of the bigger boys, but if we do not have any 'spare bigger boys' lurking around today, it may be "Kid" and I. But for a little bit there last night before I started cooking the Calzones, it was a little chill. And I noticed the bedroom windows are no longer open very wide at night. Thus far I have not heard the coyotes like I heard last summer. Just the one evening/morning. Last year it was a nightly occurrence for 6 months time.
Fall is coming to be sure. When I was picking peas and beans last night, the plants looked like they may be on their next to last picking. The plants are starting to look shabby and yellowing.
