rip,
drip, drip, drip.. it has been above freezing the last couple days. I have
mountains on either side of the house where the 18 or so inches of snow has
launched itself off the roof. I am wondering how long it is before I have to
shovel snow away from the bathroom window side in order to continue to look out.
The magazine is now being sent to 8 countries around the world. We picked up another country today. But I need a person to email me on a different email than the one they emailed me on before. Their mailbox is full or hate my email, I am not sure. I need okwilk to email me please.
Yesterday was a good day. I went on a trip to the larger town a couple hours from here, got some holiday shopping done, had lunch... had fun... get home...
I get home as the boys are putting the cows back in the front pasture as the fence is broken. They did not fix the fence, but just put the cows in. I have a sleddog off his chain an I get there just in time to see the pup get bit by one of my older dogs in the leg after he annoyed him. So I had to fix the dog chain (snap broke. It happens) and feed and then I noted the cows were out again, which is when I realized the boys did not do anything more than just put the cows back in the pasture. As I am thinking that their brains must have been left at school, I am standing guard at the broken fence, yelling to no avail to the house upon deaf ears which were probably eating half the kitchen. So I wait.. and wait.. and wait.. as I can hear my bf with the logging truck coming. And I wait.. and wait.. and wait.. and am getting older as I have my 'city slicker clothes' and coat on, and wait and wait for him to do his logbooks and I am now turning into a Popsicle as the wind starts up.
When he finally gets out of the truck, I yell HELP! And after he too wonders about the boys brains, he gets the equipment where it is up on the side porch to help me fix the fence in the almost dark.
It is getting dark before 4pm now and as I write this, it still looks a bit like dawn, though it is going on 9 am. Soon Winter Solstice will be here and the days will start getting longer again.
