ot
alot of nice comments on the magazine yesterday. Alot of people received them in
their mailboxes at home yesterday. Some of the remarks were:
"AND, I have a lead on some
wild rabbit skins for tanning! <GRINS>
Thank you tenzi for all your hard work on the mag, and all you do for
everyone here on OHG!" - Debby in KY
"i got mine too and it is just

magazines. i started gettting DTTR after i asked the group hear what
magazines i should get, i got countryside and tenzis magazie and i
know i will continue to get tenzis dttr and not get the other one
anymore" - cedar
"As a matter of fact, I had company, and they got to read it before I
did!!!
It was difficult for me... Once again... AMAZING!!! Thanks Tenzi!!!"
- Angelia in Oregon
"Hey, tenzi, I just subscribed
through your website and can't want to start
receiving it. After all the raves here I couldn't resist. Happy Holidays"
- Linda in Missouri
"Thanks for the awesome
magazine, Tenzi!! The article on the winter
watering of livestock was very well timed, and I so appreciate
"demystifying seed catalogues". And awesome article from Jon
on drought gardening. Great refence for my library;
once again, thanks" - Amy
And this has got to be one of my favorites.. it is from my friend jon and a Guest Writer in the Winter 2006 as well as a couple other DTTR issues.
"Doing the happy snoopy dance:
Got tenzi's magazine in fridays mail,
and was dancing a jig all the way back to the cabin.
A nail loom? Now who'd a thunk it'd be that easy?
tenzi butchers chickens neater than I do, that's for sure. And, she
cheats. I wring off their heads, scald off the feathers, then pluck
pin feathers out with a pin feather plucker outer. Slice em open with
my handy dandy Case pocket knife. Sometimes I just skin off the
feathers. Easier that way, but Kim's saving the feathers now for
crafting.
Hey, Momma tanned hides different than you show in. Mom used a hickory switch
and
chased me half way around Pine Mountain, trying to tan mine.
She hasn't lost her marbles. I saw em on page 26 of DTTR. Made me want to fish
out my
old King Edward cigar box of mibs. I've got a few left from them days long ago
when we shot for keeps. Cats-eyes, faith 9 swirl, a couple
of handmade fluorspar marbles, a few corkscrews, a few handmade from bone, some
pure crystal clear ones, and a few more.
Ear candling....ouch!
A game of horseshoes...no wait, that's Ringer! Knew a Ringer once.
And a scarecrow on page 39...shhhh don't tell anybody that is hot off the press
and laying
on a table near my rest bench." - Jon 12-23-06
