andles were on the "Weekly Shopping List" for this week of the year (see Winter 2005 issue) and I took stock and saw I was getting low on them. When we went to town today, we went and picked some up. These will last me a year plus. I also checked my stock of oil lamp oil.

For dinner, we had turkey vegetable soup from the leftover turkey carcass from Christmas Day that my boyfriend's mother cooked for dinner. I also had leftover salmon that I made fishcakes from, with the always present fresh baked bread. It was so hot, they were playing "Hot Potato" with the buns.

My friend Angelia, got her website done last night. She makes welding caps and belly dancing outfits, you should go check it out.

Not much "homesteady" happened today other than opening a new bale for the Jersey cow "Daisy".. oh wait.. I lied.. last night we called a guy who was giving away about 10 older cows. We are getting 2 of them this weekend. We need to order more hay.
