ot a call this evening from our south side neighbor at dusk. He is like 70-some years and has lived all his life in this area and actually owned our property 40-some years ago. He called while I was at my friends house patching up their dog who may have an abscess and the neighbor told my bf that he just saw the largest cougar he has ever seen. Probably 9 feet long. Cougars are plenty here and very dangerous and have been stalking people. Our boys came out of the bush today early from hunting grouse and said something was watching them. Our boys do not chicken out easily, we are pretty sure now that it was probably the cougar eyeing them. My bf called a friend of his who has cougar hounds and works for the gov't for getting rid of problem cats, so he will be at our house in the morning with his dogs. All animals except for the sled dogs are locked up tonight. Many of these cats are killing dogs on chains, so I will sleep in the livingroom tonight and have one ear open for any commotion. We now have 3 rifles up here donated by friends in the last hour if we need to use them . All of us can shoot. All my sled dogs are on chains.
