ow! Bonfires, Food and Fireworks!! Last night they had a surprise birthday party for me and while I took a rare nap, they (my boyfriend and the kids and spare kids) took tables and food and chairs and made a camp out at one of the slash piles in back and we had a wonderful bonfire party. 

It rained a little and I have to admit I have never worn gumboots (rubber boots) to a party before, but it was awesome. I was surprised, but knew something was up as there were too many odd phone calls (and none for me) and the kids volunteered to wash the dishes and vacuum the living room floor. Then about 30 people showed up when it got dark. 

We roasted smokies and hotdogs, then the occasional S'more (which I was doing great with until someone asked me a question on the last bite, I turned my head and got my long hair caught in it - ick). Chocolate cake was involved as well. So we had a firelit dinner *S*. It was the best birthday party ever.
